Rich & Savory Nuts Recipe

The following is a step-by-step recipe for the original Toe Doc Rich & Savory Nuts. These nuts are made with cacao, red chile (local New Mexico), and cinnamon. What makes them even more special is that they are sugar free. Enjoy.

Crack 1 egg into large mixing bowl

Add 3 cups pecans & 1 cup cashews

Mix with spatula until nuts coated with egg

In a separate (small) bowl add the following:

0.5 cup erythritol

0.5 tbsp salt

2 tbsp cacao powder
-
1 tbsp red chile powder
-
1 tsp cinnamon
-
Mix together
-
Add seasoning to nuts and mix until all nuts are coated

Place in single layer on baking sheet lined with parchment paper

Bake in oven at 300F for 20 minutes

Remove and toss/flip nuts over with spatula

Bake for another 20 minutes at 250F

Let sit on counter and cool
